A pair of hand-carved folk art fish items. The lot includes a large decorative folk art fish carving executed from natural birch bark timber with intact outer bark, detailed carved scales, an open toothy mouth, inset yellow glass-style eyes, and a top mounting eyelet for wall display. The second piece is an antique ice fishing spear decoy featuring a carved wood body with aged yellow-green painted finish, inset tack eyes, heavy wire line rigging, and metal tail fins.The larger birch bark sculpture exhibits light surface wear, minor bark flaking, and light checking to the exposed wood. The smaller decoy displays significant wear, including heavy paint loss, oxidation/rusting to the metal components, bending and shape loss to the metal tail fin, missing side fins, and general wear.
