An antique Persian Safavid-style pottery jar featuring traditional hand-painted cobalt blue decorations, later converted into a table lamp. The baluster form  vessel is fitted with a patinated cast brass cap and neck holding a three-socket cluster fixture, and the entire assembly rests on a wooden pedestal base. The lamp exhibits heavy wear consistent with its age, including notable surface discoloration, prominent crazing and cracking to the ceramic glaze, oxidation to the brass hardware, and heavy finish losses and wear to the wooden base.
