An antique late 19th-century American hunting case pocket watch manufactured by the Elgin National Watch Co. According to Elgin serial number records, the movement serial number "2458217" dates production to c. 1887. The movement is housed in a finely engraved gold-filled hunter case featuring ornate foliate scrollwork. Condition displays age-appropriate wear including light surface scratches, rubbing to the gold, minor tarnishing to the , and signs of aging to the dial. Untested for timekeeping and mechanical functionality. See photos for more item and condition details.
