A grouping of three heavy, hand-cast bronze pieces from Africa, likely the Congo region and the Mingo and Ekonda peoples. The lot includestwo large currency bracelets and one substantial currency anklet. These sculptural, utilitarian objects served both as high-status wealth display and a medium of exchange. Each piece features rugged cast construction displaying a rich, aged patina, surface wear, and minor casting imperfections consistent with tribal ceremonial objects of significant age.
